  • Movinord Chile, a Dynamobel subsidiary, has completed the interior distribution project for the new building at Universidad Andrés Bello in Concepción, Chile.

The new building, designed by the architect Martín Schmidt, was built according to criteria of sustainability, creating a bright, open space and cutting dependency on fossil fuels down to a minimum. The need for flexibility and easy re-adaptation of the interior space made Dynamobel partitions the perfect candidate for the architect's demands. “We realised that starting principles change a lot from year to year, so the study areas need to be malleable. We used to spend a lot knocking down plasterboard partitions, which also led to a lot of waste", explains Schmidt. The partition system in the building, which covers more than 5000m2, took just a month to install.

Meanwhile, the country's President Michelle Bachelet paid a visit on the Diagnosis and Treatment Centre at the Regional Hospital of Concepción, the interior compartmentalisation of which is also being performed by Movinord Chile.

The unique effect achieved by the rounded outline of the lamps, the golden ovals on the walls and the lights and shadows on the floor, achieved by combining textures and colour gradations, evokes in customers the feeling of being under a large projector.
