The Stringered access floor is elevated flooring formed by 60 x 60-cm steel panels with cement cores installed onto a grid of stringers screwed onto height-adjustable, metal pedestals fixed to the sub-floor. It can be installed to heights of up to 90 cm.
Stringered floors are especially designed for use in buildings in which underfloor installations call for significant plenum height. They can, however, be used in any type of space given that the steel/cement combination provides the panels with outstanding performance under all kinds of load. As silent as concrete floors, they are very comfortable for users. They are also unalterable regardless of changes in humidity and temperature, and can be changed around and even reused at different sites.
