At Dynamobel we have worked intensively on a truly different concept that provides the best of both table and panel systems, concepts that are well-established in both Europe and the USA, respectively. Base is the result of the fusion of both concepts. With this program, our intent was to provide the best of each system, while overcoming its limitations.
One of the main virtues of Base is its visual lightness, a handicap that the panel system never manages to surpass. The unit rests on the self-supporting legs that have already become part of the Dynamobel identity and which lighten the aesthetics of the work station. These compound structures integrate the floor support with a panel or filing accessory, and are fixed to the frame, giving the system great rigidity.
The aim is to work as a group, where people can communicate and still maintain their personal space. This is what Base is about; the sum total of the bench concept, favoring group work and the recovery of each individual’s personal space, while overcoming the heaviness of the panel system. We have also provided different leg designs so that our clients can arrange different private, functional spaces.
There is no question that we are talking about a collection that enables multidisciplinary work; there is currently a high demand for this type of solution in medium and large facilities. The versatility of the collection, both of the line itself and in its features and finishes, helps create customized spaces that adapt to the needs of each company and, in particular, to the end users.
The privacy we have achieved with Base has resulted in the creation of more organized spaces. Now we can only refer to chaos on an individual basis, with reference to each workstation. The overall view of the installation transmits a uniform visual coherence that is far from the confusion of the normal bench arrangements. We have also designed a series of legs with a storage function, which help clear the workstation of files and other office material that are normally found there.
We have not forgotten those spaces for sharing tools such as printers and fax machines, office supplies or the coffee machine which provides those pleasant moments during our work day. The auxiliary modules can be placed at the end of a run of workstations or interspersed throughout a series of workstations.
Even though Base has been designed to stimulate team work, we mustn’t forget that offices today also require meeting spaces and areas for supervisors. To meet these needs, we have designed specific frames with an appearance that matches the rest of the collection, but with completely different functions.
We were conscious of the limitations of the bench system in terms of adjusting the height of the workstations. Base overcomes this handicap, enabling the end user to adjust the station to his or her needs. Also available are a fixed option and an option that may be adjusted during assembly.
